Simple Pleasures: Springtime in LA
March 23, 2011
I love Springtime! Especially Spring in Los Angeles.
I love the scent of jasmine in the night air. I love that
there are flowers sprouting eveywhere, like joyful smiles
in the sunshine. I love the smell of the earth after it rains,
and I love the rain, too. I love the longer days, and the
soft warmth that brings the promise of summer.
Take a moment.
Look, become aware, notice, inhale, smile... enjoy!
Happy Spring!

I miss spring time in California. Unfortunately spring seems to have skipped this part of the world~
ReplyDelete@YS- well, that certainly is a shame to miss out! ...Sending you much sunshine, joy and beauty from LA, to brighten your days, wherever you are!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully written, Stephanie. Reminds me of this evening here in Northern California. There was lots of rain and cold temperatures today, but at about 6:45 the sun came out and even though it was cold, I really perked up when I walked out of the house.
ReplyDeleteP.S. That was 6:45 pm, and I walked out to do some quick repairs on my backyard fence (the wind got to it).
ReplyDeleteThx for your sweet compliments, MikeB! Happy to kno wyou are enjoying the beautiful (but windy) springtime in gorgeous Northern California! How's that fence now??
ReplyDeleteI need a new fence, but have been puting it off. I'll have to hire someone soon.
ReplyDelete...or become really good a fence repair! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI can't do a fence by myself. Too much to know. I have a couple of friends who are very good at building things made of wood, and have built some marvelous things in wood (decks, porches), and they are willing to help me, but there will be some unusual complications with this project, and I better leave it to the professionals.
ReplyDelete@MikeB: Then it is appropriate that you comment under 'Simple Pleasures'; for how wonderful to be able to delegate a difficult chore over to others...it gives one peace of mind...as well as a beautiful fence!
