Fav Quote Friday: Lifestyle; Shel Silverstein - On Loving Your Life and Yourself

"There Is A Voice Inside Of You,  That Whispers All Day Long,

"I Feel That This Is Right For Me,  I Know That This Is Wrong."

No Teacher, Preacher, Parent, Friend Or Wise Man Can Decide

What's Right For You -

Just Listen To

The Voice That Speaks Inside."

"Draw a crazy picture,

Write a nutty poem,

Sing a mumble-gumble song,

Whistle through your comb.

Do a loony-goony dance

'Cross the kitchen floor,

Put something silly in the world

That ain't been there before."

  1. Wonderful. Silverstein was a gem. Isn't it great that the world produces so many whose imaginations bring us joy and delight, happiness and smiles, laughter and reflection.

  3. I re-read the two poems above just now. Today, they really resonate with me. Guess I have been working too hard and need time to do nothing, or something (fun or silly) or maybe even to write something. Well, at least I have been working off and on to write a sonnet which I will send to YogaSavy's blog.

  4. Hi MikeB! We all need that ...I find I often get silly when I've been working too hard for too long!
And if/when you do write that sonnet- please consider to post the link here, so that others may visit at YogaSavy's blog to enjoy it too!
