Fav Quote Friday|Simple Pleasures: Autumnal Celebrations Of Man and Nature

For man,

Autumn is a time of harvest, of gathering together.

For nature,

it is a time of sowing, of scattering abroad.

~Edwin Way Teale

 Acknowledge and take the time to notice,
enjoy and immerse yourself into the beauty of Autumn;
the warm scents, the crisp sounds, the swirling dancing movements...
it is the Earth's way of saying "farewell" before it goes into winter's sleep.

...I love to take walks outside., under the trees,
and find the spots with the deepest pile of fallen leaves,
so that I can swish, kick and crunch my way through the colors!

What about you? What does Fall mean to you?
What are the ways in which you like to celebrate and enjoy it?

  1. I bet it would be fun to kick some leaves. Alas, there are no piles of leaves nearby. Beautiful pictures; lovely thoughts.

  2. HI MikeB! what?? no oaks, sycamores, aspens or other color-changing trees about? Then I am especially fortunate, as I do have those in my area and get to enjoy the color changes of autumn, even though I live in LA! Thanks for stopping by to let me know you enjoyed this!

  4. HI MikeB! I hope you do! ...take your wife, a picnic lunch and go enjoy the trees before they lose their leaves!
