Fav Quote Friday: Wonderfully Wise Words From Waldo...

'Don't be pushed by your problems.
Be led by your dreams.'

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Painting: 'Joy and Sorrow'
by Chinese-born Canadian painter Zhong Yang Huang

  1. It's amazing what some people can do with just eleven words. Thanks, Ralph. I will try to follow that way of thinking.

  2. Isn't it though!? (no wonder he's famous!)
Thanks MikeB! I will try too.
...and quoting Trish, a creative friend who also loved this quote: 'Dream On'!

  3. "Be led by your dreams." That got me doing "automatic writing," and within a minute I had four lines of a "dream" poem that begins "I dream of holding you within my arms." But it gets pretty risque, so I will not share any more. When I expand the poem, it looks my wife will get another one for her collection. I am amazed at how much poetry I have written in the last year or so because of blog posts that got me thinking.

  4. @MikeB- I think your wife is as lucky to have you as you are to haev her. Love it that the posts are inspiring to poetry!

  5. ATTN.: MIKEB - to your 'Not For Publication' question' yes, remember - and guess you missed my original answer, but I say now an emphatic "Yes!" Send when ready.

  6. Thanks, Stephanie. And I hope it is OK that I also asked Savira YogaSavy if she could also publish it on her blog. She says she will put it on her website even if it is on other blogs. I hope that is OK with you, too, that several blogs will publish it. I may ask the writers of two other blogs if they would publish it also. I do recall your original answer, but it is so long ago, so I decided to ask again. I have today off from work, so I hope I can finish the artile or get close to finishing it. It should be done soon. Thank you for your kindness, Stephanie.
