Fav Quote Friday | Body and Spirit: Longfellow On Life's Ups and Downs

"Be still, sad heart, and cease repining;

Behind the clouds is the sun still shining;

Thy fate is the common fate of all,

Into each life some rain must fall..."

~Henry Wadworth Longfellow

In memory of my dear friend Randy Paulos

 What things have happened in your life
that made it necessary
for you to remind yourself
that the sun is still shining?

  1. I read the entire Longfellow poem and enjoyed it. I had heard the line, "Into each life some rain must fall" but did not know where it came from. Now I know it is in this poem.

    What a sweet way to remember your friend.

    When I see the financial and health misfortunes of others, I realize how lucky I am and how the sun is still shining for me. When I reflect on how others in my family have died young, I am happy to alive.
