Fav Quote Friday | Art and Design: The Art Of Economy

"You know you have reached perfection of design,
not when you have nothing more to add,
but when you have nothing more to take away."

 ~Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

When we remove the excesses,
the unnecessary, the clutter, and the coverings,
we expose the true essence of things;
shape,
form,
style,
line,
color...
and create a purity,
an economy of design.

What could be removed,
cleared out,
taken away,
gotten rid of?
  ...that would leave you
with a pure essence,
an economy:
nothing wasted,
nothing more than you need?

Could you apply this same concept
to your life?

If you did,
in what ways might
your lifestyle change?
