Fav Quote Friday | Lifestyle: The Beauty of Discovery, Joy of Risk and Wonders of Travel

"The real voyage of discovery consists not
in seeking new landscapes,
but in having new eyes."
~Marcel Proust

"Twenty years from now you will be more
disappointed by the things that you didn't do
than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines.
Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
 Explore. Dream. Discover."
~Mark Twain

"Meeting another human being is always a sacred event."
~Bryant McGill

"Not all who wander are lost."
~J.R.R. Tolkien

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness,
and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts.
Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things
cannot be acquired by vegetating
in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”
~Mark Twain

travel beautifully,

live beautifully!

  1. Wonderful thoughts, Stephanie. Thanks.

  2. Thank you Mike B! Hope it helps you get a different perspective next time you have to travel.

  3. One of my favorite things to do when I travel is to meet and talk to people from the country I am in (as best I can, given that there may be a language barrier). No politics or religion, just connecting as people. Of course, I love the art and culture and food that I am privileged to experience, but I also love the interaction with people.
