Stress.
I've got it, you've got it, we all have
some amount of it in our daily lives.
Stress can be a good thing,
one that can help you excel or escape,
and it's a natural way that our body helps
us when we need that extra boost.
But what happens when stress is
no longer occasional or temporary?
Prolonged or chronic stress can set up a
cascade of neuro-triggers in your brain
and a whole set of anxious behavior
can start that actually perpetuates more stress.
The resulting neuro-chemicals that are released
are meant to be doled out in short bursts, not over prologned periods.
That's why daily and constant stress can be very damaging -
to the mind, the body and to the major organs.
For this reason it is imperative to maintain control over your stress,
try your best to eliminate or avoid sources of your stress.
If that's not possible, then find a new perspective for it, and do as much
as you can to create healing habits in your life to counteract any stressors.
There are many various things you can do,
(and indeed we have often touted many of them in this blog)
but one that you might not realize as a very available
and highly efficient anti-stress 'medicine'...
is your food.
